As our housing developments expand the available nesting sites for birds decreases. Especially in regional areas where housing now occupies land which was once farmed.

Birds will then adapt and nest in safe, warm, dry places. Your ceiling cavity ticks those boxes well.

Nesting birds in your ceiling cavity not only pose a significant health hazard to your family the noise they make can be utterly annoying!

Couple that with overflowing gutters and you have a bad combination for anyone with asthma, allergies or breathing difficulties.

Sparrows, Starlings, Black Birds (amongst many others) are the kinds of tenants you don't want in your ceiling cavity. They introduce other pests and disease to your home.

Essentially bird proofing aims to restrict access to existing nesting sites and deter birds from nesting in your home.

It also protects your solar panel investment as nesting birds under solar panels have on occasion caught fire causing extensive damage not to mention repair costs.

Fixed gutter guards are expensive to have installed and in 9/10 times we are paid to remove them. See the video as to why we refuse to install fixed gutter guards. Over time they fail and from what we've seen - they all fail often resulting in water ingress and unfortunately damage to homes and businesses from blocked gutters due to not having the guards cleaned and maintained.
